NEW - After many requests from our customers we're pleased to announce the release of our polarised polycarbonate lens. It's the best of both worlds offering the glare reduction expected from a polarised lens plus the AS/NZS 1337:1992 compliant impact resistance of a polycarbonate lens. They still have a strap, and they float too, but as an extra feature, the foam is removable on these ones - a true multi-purpose pair of safety sunnies made to fit your fugly head.

Fuglies sunglasses unique construction combines great looks, sun protection and comfort with a soft rubber foam eyepiece insert that protects from peripheral glare and wind-blown dust and sand. The Fuglies foam rubber insert also reduces vibration and is vented to reduce fogging.

The black wrap-around polycarbonate frames are lightweight and impact resistant, and are metal screwed at the hinges for extra durability and strength. An added feature that is importants for fishermen and yachties, is that your Fuglies sunglasses float!!

A by-product of the Fuglies frame design is that the foam rubber inserts lightly grip the bridge of the nose making theses sunglasses non-slip as well.

Why Are Polarised Sunglasses Better Than Normal Dark Sunglasses?

Normal sunglasses decrease the intensity of everything by the same amount. Polarised sunglasses selectively eliminate the reflected light coming from shiny surfaces, so even a clear pair of polarised glasses will reduce the glare component. Lightly tinted polarised glasses are often used as driving glasses.

Moderately tinted polarised sunglasses give you the best of both worlds - almost total glare reduction without the reduction in visibility experienced with normal tinted sunglasses that are dark enough to cut the intensity of glare as well.
